The state charges the duty separately for each class of goods and services, and each class is examined separately too. So every class added raises both the duty and the attorney's workload.
A colour mark costs more both in fees and in duty. A black-and-white image usually gives broader protection, so in many cases it is both the stronger and the cheaper choice — worth discussing before you file.
